I’m a Midwest-born blues and southern rock-influenced artist whose sound didn’t come from one lane — it came from the whole radio dial. My musical education started in the back seat of my parents' car, where Alabama and Percy Sledge played on the same ride. At home, it was air bands in the garage to REO Speedwagon, breakdancing to “Planet Rock,” and rewinding Prince’s first cassette until it wore thin. Barrio brothers blasting  Stevie B. to  Violent Femmes. From Doug E .Fresh to Ozzy. From Keith Sweat to Pantera. From Otis Redding to Jodeci. From Living Colour  to Rascal Flatts. From Los Lonely Boys to Marc Broussard. The sounds never competed in my head — they stacked.    The first time I heard “Call Me the Breeze” and “Simple Man,” something shifted in me. Southern Rock became the cure. I discovered Blues at a very young age, and it cracked open a door that never closed. Somewhere between 80s anthems and 90s grunge, between Freddie King and the Black Crowes, between Ramón Ayala and Motown, a voice started forming inside me — not polished, not manufactured — just lived in.    This chapter didn’t start with ambition. It started with love. After carrying songs in my head for years, I finally decided to let them out — teaching myself guitar and turning a lifelong passion into a promise I made to myself. There’s no blueprint for where this goes, and honestly, that’s not the concern. This isn’t about chasing something. It’s about honoring the music that shaped me and leaving something behind that says, “I was here, and this is what I heard.” If one person hears a song of mine, adds it to a playlist, and feels something real — that’s a victory.
